Press Release Body = Thunder Bay, Ontario - September 1, 2006 - After the
introduction of the Back to Sleep campaign in the early 1990's, professionals in the
medical field began to recommend tummy time to parents and caregivers of infants.
Babies, specifically those 0-6 months old need extra play time on their bellies to
increase their upper body core strength. This essential core strength will be needed
in the months to come as babies learn to creep, crawl and walk. Unfortunately those
very same babies frequently do not like being placed on their tummies. This can then
make getting the recommended amount of tummy playtime difficult.

Doctor\'s and midwives recommend that infants receive 30 minutes of tummy time every
day. When babies are newborn they have very little strength and control of their
upper bodies, and their head. Parents are being instructed to give their babies
tummy time for short 5 to 10 minute intervals throughout the day. It does not take
long before parents realize their baby does not enjoy this activity as they usually
begin to cry shortly after being placed on their stomachs. What is the solution?
Jennifer Chicoine, the founder, owner and operator of Goomba Babies, a small
Canadian Based Company, discusses her experiences.

\"As may parents of newborns and infants are told by their Midwives or Doctor\'s I
attempted to give my infant son daily tummy time. Of course he cried shortly after
I would place him on his stomach. Out of concern and a little frustration I began
to research ways in which I could make this playtime more enjoyable. I found some
products on the market which did not meet my needs, or they were very expensive and
often unavailable for purchase in Canada. It was at that point that Goomba Babies
Tummy Time Pillows were developed. I felt that it was important to create a product
that was simple and effective. As a busy mom I needed an item that was very
portable. It was also critical that the pillow could be put in the washer and
dryer.\"

The Tummy Time pillows are a small C-shaped pillow similar to a breast feeding
pillow on a much smaller scale. There are two activity tabs located at the front of
the pillow where a variety of entertainment toys can be attached to enhance the play
experience for baby. The pillow wraps around the playing infant to provide full body
support as it props up his shoulders and head during playtime. The Pillows are made
locally in Thunder Bay, Ontario Canada and are available for world wide purchase at
miammoon.ca, a Vancouver, Canada web based Company. The Pillows retail for $17.95
Canadian and can be viewed at the following link. http://www.miamoon.ca/pd_tummy.cfm

There are several ways in which you may entertain your child on their stomachs and
the Tummy Time Playtime Pillow can assist in making the entire experience more
pleasurable for your child. Small intervals throughout the day for up to a minimum
of 30 minutes are essential to your child's physical development and growth.

The Tummy Time Playtime Pillow was created with care by a mom for moms, dads and
caregivers to make tummy time more enjoyable and successful for babies. Goomba
Babies is dedicated to educating caregivers about the importance of daily belly
playtime.
